Degrees vs. Percent of Slope. Which is Best?
The BreakMaster golf device measures slope in degrees, which we believe is the most easily understood way to display the break. However, some in the world of golf, like our friends at Aimpoint, prefer to use percentage of slope instead of degrees. To assist with golf putts improvement, there is a simple conversion to turn degrees into percent: just multiply degrees by 1.7 to find the percent of slope. To make things even more convenient, the PDF below includes a green charting tool that shows typical degrees to percent conversions. You can print this PDF chart and cut it out to attach with cellophane tape to the side of the BreakMaster.
